The following comments are for "fewpucratic hypocrisy" by Bobby7L
Reminded me of my friend Joanne who told me she had a wishing well and it was full of sand. Much later I found out that her wishing well was at the foot of her drive and in Nova Scotia they have sand stored for icy drives.
There's gotta be a poem in a wishing well filled with sand. Still catches my fancy 12 years later,
Enjoyed this collection Bobby. Glad I'm not Emily.
A true patriot is one willing to die defending his country against its corrupt, incompetent and/or oppressive government.
I refuse to accept the unacceptable. The fewmocracy we now reside in will soon end up on the scrapheap of history- if incompetents, thieves and idealogues are allowed to continue running the Federal government. Both parties are equally incompetent and show no signs of changing. Getting re-elected appears to be the number one priority of both the Republicans and the Democrats.*
I wouldn't entrust the current administrators of our government to manage a pretzel stand. I'd expect the next President to have at the very least successfully operated one or two.
Note: President Obama returned to the re-election campaign trail this evening, attending another fundraising event.

Quote and Notes:
When asked during Senate hearings, what would happen if the United States received a credit downgrade?:
"That's not going to happen, Senator..There's not a chance that's going to happen." - Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner [March 10th, 2010].
Note: In 2006, then Illinois Sen. Barack Obama opposed/voted AGAINST raising the debt ceiling. Check out what he had to say about raising it.
Note #2: The Democrats held both the Senate and Congress during the last two years of the Bush administration- and the first two years of the Obama administration. It wasn't until last November that the Congress went Republican.
