So this world that we woke up in
Scarred us for eternity
Broke love felt minds
And set this course.

Now Iíve been sad so very long
Iíve lost my heart
In a song
And all the rest of my life
Has yet to come.

So where do I go next?
The road ahead is dark, depressed
Silence rules this land.
A buzzing emptiness that stands
Holds me frozen light
The pale pallor of endless night.

When we wake we wake alone
And without something
Weíve left behind
Something that Iíll try to find
But lost in shifting shadows
Of anger and hollow rage.

The needle pricks me still
When Iím calm and by myself
Thatís when the thought pours out
The endless stream of spitting lines
As I look back at whatís behind

Remember my friend, despite all you are, all we are, the universe will tick on, long past our departure.

Run From Your Behind
There's nothing like traveling the road to hearts content walking backwards. I can't count the number of shoes I've worn out that way
