breathe in a good

feeling

laugh with someone

who makes you do so

smile at someone who

smiled first

kiss someone that

attracts you

forget to use a

prophylactic

forget to use

birth control

have a great

orgasm

get an std

get pregnant

abort the child

have the child

raise the child

with financial

stability

raise the child

in poverty

walk away from

the child

help yourself

the whole while

through

maybe

avoid stds or

giving birth

still a child

gets older as

you pass on

a child

becomes teen

the teen learns

more than

parent

the parent is

outwitted

the teen now

wants

independence

the independent

teen wants

complete

freedom

the once baby

bird now leaves

the nest

the independent

20 something tries to

survive

they go to college

they get a job

they join the army

they go abroad

they backpack

they smoke

they drink

they take drugs

they sell drugs

they cheat

they steal

they rape

they kill

they gain money

they gain power

they wear rags

they wear suits

they wear

ceremonial robes

of all sorts

they treat physical

illness

they treat mental

illness

they think there is

a spiritual

illness & they

focus relentlessly on

this fact like staring

24 hours a day

through a prism

at the head of a

needle

they jump over the

needlewatchers with

science

they break down the

building blocks of

reality

they study what is &

what is only on paper

they embrace the idea

that all can be thrown out

in the method of

constant analysis &

constant communicating,

deliberating, reinstating,

destroying, recreating &

swimming in the complete

utter chaos that humans

live within & that humans

represent &

they work on making more

intelligence

they make bombs & lasers &

mass biological death agents

& they kill on a mass scale

& they fly to the moon

& they fly past the moon

& they engage with all that is

beyond the moon

& they break away into

oblivion

but they work on making

machines

& as they destroy the living

organic environment around them

they make a new one out of

concrete & metal

& these machines made by their

own hands now

excel

they perform calculations faster

than the humans that created them

the humans make smaller

computation machines

smaller &

smaller &

smaller they reduce in size

soon they are taken in within the

humans who made them

they reduce disease

they kill off cancers before they

have a chance to begin

they enhance the physical body

with upgraded material &

better memory & even new

aesthetic changes which create

a different kind of creature

altogether which is

post-human

something that redefines itself

quite possibly out of range &

surpassing this anthropocene

now existing

& as the machines move past

humans they have their brains

scanned

they are downloaded into the

interface

while some are still cryogenically

frozen

some are no longer holding physical

flesh bodies

while the electric selves now float in

the virtual techno world

new illnesses of electronic & virtual

death now arise

new bombs new weapons of

electromagnetic mannerisms things

that this writer is far too naive to

even begin to illustrate with the

decrepit eyesight & fingers tapping

on this ancient keyboard

the writer still needs to eat

these vegetables that are doused with

toxins

the writer still needs to sleep

to keep the feeble mind from going

mad

looking forward to a brand new

electrotechnomadness to come

one with the machine needing

nothing but a surge

a lift off of energy into the

outer regions of everything we

can produce through the language

that continues to confuse us

and build roadblocks all along the

way.
