Tro-Cortesianus

war of temporary destiny
through flash and smoke
amongst the flowers

lacking immunity
the natives are doomed
their books are burned

Dresdensis

along with the wild animals
they flee the conquistadores
steel carries the day

ceramics are left behind
painted almanacs
of rituals and constellations

as Venus cycles coronations
rising above final campaigns
before it's time to transit the Sun

Peresianus

other tribes are coming
change sweeps westward again
more paper is flashed

the eldest daughter of the Church
relinquishes her Catholicism
while inscripted monuments stand elsewhere
