As promised, the power to delete comments is now in the author's hands. Along side the ability to blocking people, this gives all the power over to you members to moderate your own slice of Lit.Org.
Use this power wisely. Delete peoples comments too often and you'll find yourself without comments. It's in your best interest to work peacefully with one another to resolve any conflicts. And if you can't get along I hope you continue to use the site and just avoid one another. It's big enough for us to make that happen. Lit.Org is what you make it.
However, some comments will still need to be deleted even when the author doesn't think it needs to happen. These are when the rules of the site are broken. Things like hate speech, threats, violence or anything of the kind will not be tolerated. Spam, formatting issues, copyright issues, etc, may need to be deleted from time to time. This is where the report feature comes in. If you see something that violates our guidelines, or you simply feel needs someone to look at it just in case, report it. That's the right thing to for the health of our community.
You have the tools to stand up to problem users. Use them and help clean out the trash.
