When I woke up this morning,
I didn't know what to do.
My life was turning
All shades of black
With little light
Shining through.

It was one of those mornings
When everything I did was wrong.
If, I were a singer, this morning,
I would forget the words to my song.
If, I were a carpenter,
I would have forgetten my nails
In the shed.
If, I were a preacher,
I would have forgotten my words
In praising the dead.

When I woke up this morning,
Everything I did was wrong.
I only hope that by tommorrow,
I will find my place to belong.
