Breathe
while you have lungs yet whole
and whistle
through your whistle hole
and tap your fingers
on the back
of something black.

Blow
a kiss to those who wait
so burden them
with dread, wet weight
and leave behind
your name in dust
on something bound to rust.

Lay back and nap the white noon sky.
We'll wake you for dusk rise.
