deep inside of you
little voices strewn
wounded affirmations

blazoned eyes
speak loud
your steps a punctilious
gambol

pusillanimous words
are set on spent reels

a stag voice speaks
vacant
starving in last calls

these are your secrets

to all others
your flowers scintillate

why not believe
in the sinewy steps you take

in the salvo of your every breath?

loved the contradiction between punctilious and gambol .. two word I didn't have to look up .. YAY!

Now .. um ...
pusillanimous .. had to do a quick study on that one but .. that's always a bonus!

All in all .. an interesting and educating read! thanks

love is war
reminds me that love, the one we hear about in songs and sappy movies, usually does not exist in that form. Real love takes effort, sometimes a little like doing battle -- inner battle, and with some external elements too.

Nice work

Dear readers

Pen- still much to learn; thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Bobby- as always (at fb also) you give me much food for thought. Once again, thank you.

BWOz- certainly an inner battle that the poet faces. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.
