"To the moon, I want to go

to the moon," Albert yelled at

his mother. She sighed softly.

"Ace Albert, you're going

to bed," she replied as she

scooped him up in her arms and

carried him to his room. Ace

was a name that he had given

himself. He climbed under the

covers. She tucked him in.

"Awww Mom, Star Trek III

comes on at nine. It's a trek-

a-thon," Albert pleaded. She

shook her head.

"No, it is bed time and you

have school tomorrow." She

closed the door behind her.

Sullen, Albert lay in bed.

He reached down and picked up

his space helmet. Kicking the

covers back, he pulled the

helmet on and sat up. Ace

Albert is going to space in his

spaceship the Ace II. The count

down has begun; 10, 9, 8, 7, 6,

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!

Houston, we have lift off,

everything looks good. Ace

Albert is going to orbit the

nine planets and his final stop

will be the moon.

"It's tricky, there isn't

a lot of space between Mercury

and Venus. I'm going to have to

make a sharp right turn to get

between Earth and the red

planet Mars. As I whip around

Mars, I can see the big planet

Jupiter, and the pretty ringed

planet, Saturn. How in the

world the scientists came up

with a name like Uranus is

beyond me. Man, it is freezing

around Neptune and Pluto. I'm

ready to stop by the moon."

Albert yawned as he landed the

space ship on the moon. He

climbed down out of the

spaceship and picked up a moon

rock to keep. He climbed back

into his spaceship.

"To the moon! I've been to

the moon and back!" He yelled.

Someone shook him.

" Albert, get up. You're

going to be late for school,"

his mother said as she pulled

the covers back. Albert only

snuggled deeper into the

covers. He did not want to get

"Huh?" Albert mumbled as

something fell off of the bed.

"OUCH! What in the world.."

she yelled as she grabbed her

foot. A large white rock had

landed on her foot. Albert

rubbed his eyes. She picked the

rock up. He sat up.

"I've been..."

"I know. You've been to

the moon," she sighed as she

handed the rock to him. His

eyes grew wide at the sight.

"Huh?" he asked in awe.
