Shall I resolve to hold her
in the depth of our despair

Shall I pick a cotton flower
Under the creased desert sky
Iron the stars across her loveless gaze
and pray for a miracle

(Deep breath)
Shall I?
Accept.

It will always be a gamble with the ladies- go for the gusto, cowboy!

Small amounts of lucidity; floral offerings, under the desert sky... I like it.

Shall I
I like the pace of this, the longing reverb that it gives off. The (Deep Breath) and final word "Accept" to me are not necessary, or at least the (deep breath) line.

Very nice poem though, and it does hit a nice chord in my mind.
