The DeviLs Palooka

I fight with the deviL everyday
right hook-{pow pow}
left hook-{pow boom}
sucker punch in the groin {ow ahhhh ow}
each day I lay flat
face down on the mat(( don't get up- give it up))

The ref calls the fight and seals my fate[i][The mob roars in delight][i/]

but the count only goes to eight
I pick myself up (shaking and bleeding from head to toe)
look heR right in the eye ((eyes bloodshot nose oozing snot ))
and in a whisper that only the dead and the damned can hear
I say:
I want a rematch
same place and time
don’t be late

(from the journals and recordings of Santo Nicola concerning the Mundane Worlds)

[size=1}** I always depict the deviL as a shE and use odd capitulations for heR[/size]

nature weeps, the devil sings
at man’s greed and pride
and what it brings

just lots of useless
little things…

"He was the brightest of all the stars
of heaven, and even ripped and torn
in half, he still shone with a fire of a
billion suns. With a mighty roar
and a Big Bang, he imploded and
exploded out of the nothingness; and
the flow of Time began.”

I want a rematch
Don'tcha just hate these editing tools?

Loved the comic book action in this. Gives it the lighthearted touch all devil poetry should have. Shouldn't always be bleak bleak bleak.

Clever writing, Bob.
