Tears fall like rain upon their grave,
they are the ones that none can save

To those who love outside Godís rule
or cannot reproduce manís pool,
the pearly gates will not unlock
preserving whiteness of Godís flock.

Tears fall like rain upon their grave,
they are the ones that none can save

Love only counts if couples share
ability to sire a heir,
no sterile man may take a wife
for broken tools will not suffice.

Tears fall like rain upon their grave,
they are the ones that none can save

Much worse than this, is also found
the graves of babies in the ground
outside the church, beyond Godís care,
as bastards are not welcomed there.

Tears fall like rain upon their grave
they are the ones that none can save

The Eunuchs Song
Hi Ivor

Not sure where you found the rules for the first two verses.... but Janet had a little brother that died while still a baby....

He is buried in the same Church graveyard as Janet her mum dad and sister but because he wasn't christened or baptized (or whatever) had to be buried out of the way at the bottom of the cemetery against the cemetery wall...

Don't know what kick started all this stuff with repetitive chorus.....?

You know .... I go to church now and again to air my complaints... It's not much compared to what I am going to do to the laddie if I end up going upstairs and find it is all true and there is a heaven....

2 Ivor
This one sings my friend - a cool two line refrain, a lament to small injustices - and this affront by the Church is a politically and monetarily motivated mitzvah. I that God forsakes noone, even at the moment of death you are given a reprieve and a choice.

forgot forever

As you possibly know the judo centre that I am trustee of is a very old church that we had to have deconsecrated as part of the conditions for us to obtain it. It was also the site of mass communial graves during on outbreak of TB and between us and the the probation service we managed to help in refurbishing a memorial gravestone in the grounds.

No such 'luxury' for the babies buried under a headstone laid behind the church grounds inscribed
with an upside down cross to show their status! This was outside our grounds and we were not allowed to do anything with it.

I always felt that these were the ones that everyone had forsaken forever, this possibly is the reason for mm constant repetition.....

Suffer the little children to come to me!
Ivor...this is fantastic...not your usual style.
I'm sure there is a special place in Heaven for these children...especially since Jesus said:"Suffer the little children to come to me"etc.etc.

And I'm also sure that they are looking down on you with love for honoring them!

Deuteronaomy 23:1
Thanks for you response is is sickening that in some churches all three of these 'prejudices' still actively apply.

Thanks for the comment on the refrain, I noticed that Eric (Fairplay) has used this stylw to a much better effect than me in his latest posting, I hope he decides to repost it in the song challenge.
