Here still after so many years.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Thought it would be easier, but
now I've grown.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Made a few steps backward
and sometimes rushed ahead.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Held my own or at least I think I did.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Shared some words, received a few smiles.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Broke a few rules and cried for awhile.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Asked a lot of questions, demanded
purpose for my soul.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Left off with material habituations to
focus my eyes upon spiritual goals.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Shattered pretentious dreams to unfurl
heaven's vision.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Perhaps the end will foretell the future
as released to my destiny.
Must Be Still Learning to Live.

Had a lot of help from the friend that sticks
closer than any brother.
Must Be Still. Learning to Live.
Still Learning to Live.
