I embrace the illimitable ocean
As I Walk into his arms
Warmth, oh! warmth,
Lulls me, soothes me
And I am caught in his current.
I kiss his salty lips
Encouraged as ever by the treacherous
of the waves
Lapping at my hips.
And his current brings me deeper,
further still from shore.
His kelp hands
trace the curves
of my willing body.
I press them harder against my skin, my breasts,
Tearing them apart-
my lover is sinister but frail.
I am awash in his life.
I sway,
back and forth,
trapt in the rhythm of his desire
Undulating and Fearsome-
rivulets pour from within.
My feet no longer ground me to the earth-
the sand between my toes is the only remnant of that life.
And further my lover pulls me,
deeper into the infinite abyss.
My eyes, long ago closed, see not.
My only senses,
The rocking, the swaying-
my fey and enduring lover.
How I desire you.
Dragging me deeper, pulling me closer,
Emptying my lungs of air,
pressing me tighter.
Promises echo faintly in the sea gulls' plaintive cries
And I fall under
His spell, not a siren's song
an amniotic hymn.
Her Womb held me,
but He sustained me.
My hair wraps itself around my tender neck.
He brushes it aside, gently, as a father.
Eyes glitter at the weakening pulse,
as a predator's would.
I am almost his.
He bites me, stirring me from my
I am filled with lascivious liquid.
Painful, releasing
thick as blood, as wine, raw.
My skin is now in tatters...
He will leave nothing of me.
I fall
I drift
to the nether regions of his world.
And I embrace
the endless darkness.
