A New Year it is
And time deceived us
Saying I am here for a whole year
But it feels so much less
Time flies and passes by
Leaving us standing in front of the New Year's door
As we stare wondering what have we done
As we stare dazzled to the time we threw away
Leaving us holding on to our memories
Memories of laughs and cries
Of joy and sadness
Of love and hatred
But we should throw regrets away
And leave the tears behind the way
As a new year comes
Hearts will be opened
And forgiveness will be served
New Year is a new page
A blank page where you can write your story on
And erase the past that has been gone
Learn to let go of the feelings that hurt the most
Life is like a cup of water
It looks good and feels good, but it doesn't last forever
Some choke, missing the pleasure and stumbling on the way
Some swallow, forgetting the beauty and running all the way
And some take it slow, enjoying the pleasure of life and goodness
We all should drink our cup of water slowly
For the time when our time comes to an end
We say:"Life was good"
Last year was good and this year shall be better
As we open our hearts and fill the air with forgiveness
