days are dead
with no words

evenings alone
sword sheathed

rivers crack
insane with old heat

a glow recedes
into wasted ink
eventually fire

the leaves they
fall inside me

aberrant steps
move slow units of blood
retorting Gods hand
into an earthly void
of supposed growth

fledgling thoughts
mount the slow-light

godly flames take
Midwest exits

stranded lads
bouncing around
in heaps of
hand-less laughter

my words
finally found
