Oh friend, dear friend, that lies deceased,
What callous acts my grief increased!
No sooner had your might displayed,
But back to Heaven you were conveyed!
Reclusion made my heart digress
From our ambitious progress;
Minding none we would carry on,
Combined, would rest in Avallon;
I know of life its hidden clause,
Beyond my eyes it will not pause
Or must it but in memory;
I must not hault that reverie
Which bond us so eternally,
My word will make what meant to be,
To slumber and live blissfully.

Rich and high-languaged poetic voice here - and I would expect no less. Nice to read you again!
