It's been quite a while since we had a good thread going here on Lit. Now that summer's almost over, we still have time to "tickle" our brains and prepare for the writing season ahead.

Instead of our usual "Party" scene that we have around this time...I thought that we could have a friendly competition, where we could all select the "best of the best" for bragging rights here at Lit.

In 500 words or less write about an event in our lives that stands out above the rest...perhaps a childhood incident (pleasant or not), special achievement, humorous faux pax, poignant memory or the moment we knew that we wanted to write and why! Final date will be determined by the number of entries...tentative closing date will be approxminately one month from now.

These are just general suggestions...whatever triggers your emotions is what we are aiming for.
Winners will be selected by members votes...only one per member and no cheating please!!!! lol

Let's all get to know each other again, and welcome new members at the same time...we are one big family here at I hope you all rise to the challenge!!
