Beauty is beheld not in the eyes,
But in the seat of a tender heart,
Beauty thrives not by the pursuit of fiscal endeavors,
Yet by the need for spiritual sustenance.

Beauty is in the smile of a new day dawning,
In the joyful warmth of a friendly embrace.
Beauty is the recognition of anotherís burden,
And the capacity to ease some of the load.

Beauty is the understanding that we are all human,
That we all make mistakes.
Beauty is the simplicity of granting pardon to one another,
Etherealness of the soul is the personal gift we receive for forgiving ourselves.

forgive thyself
Very well put, words of wisdom. The most difficult part is forgiving our own selves, that is for certain with me.

Etherealness of the soul
Kelly, not sure how I missed this. Love reading your poems because they're universal. Their themes are always in keeping with what is most beautiful about being human.
