These words can't match you
they can't find that fire
you have

These words are nothing
just spit and cough
in the light
of yours

but I give these to you
yesterday's mud

it's all I can find
all I can afford

the flowers don't bloom much
not enough to make you a bed
just enough to bring some color
and a bouquet to say
"I love you"

Fellow poet
My friend, I wish I had your pen. You write with such poignancy, exact, not an ounce of fat. I love your work. Thank you for this.
