August Events at the Midtown Cinema's Reel Cafe

August 12-- Christine O'Leary-Rockey will perform works from her new book, "the 3 Faces of Brahman" (PostDada Press, 2010)at 7pm in the Reel Cafe.
College prof O'Leary-Rockey has dabbled in everything from radio to counseling, but "poetry is the only thing that lasts."
Her work has been published in an earlier book entitiled A Human Auction, as well as The Bloom Magazine, Literary Chaos, Haggard & Halloo, Fledgling Rag, Experimental Forest, and others. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2007.

An inspiring performance poet, part of the Flying Marmottes Review and a charter member of the Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel, O'Leary-Rockey currently teaches Humanities at Central Pennsylvania College in Summerdale, PA.

717 909-6645. The Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel's Poetry Thursdays reading series, is held at the Midtown Cinema's Reel Cafe every Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. "Uniting poets, writers and listeners for two millenia!"
Jack Veasey and Marty Esworthy host the long-running series.
