Success
By:Tissue

Success isn't money,
nor things that waste away.
Whether your day is sunny,
Or bills, yet to pay.

Success isn't measured by
Things you've saved up here.
Through laughs or fun, or a cry,
These things are not sincere.

True Success isn't what's here,
Or that which brings a smile.
Only things that persevere,
Yes, Jesus is worthwhile.

I'm a wanna-be writer. But so was John Grisham, so who knows?

re: success
Well written. I rarely like anything with a religious bent because it seems forced or trite. This one was simple and elegant - and the last line was unexpected, which I think is how it should be in this kind of poem. Good job.
