I donít know what to do when
I turn to kiss you
and
you turn to me
but your mouth is
open
sweet
breath passing through

youíre talking
about
all the things you love

I canít bear to muffle your words
so I smile awkwardly
waver
squirm in my newly uncomfortable seat

you say:
whatís wrong?

I pause

I deliberate

And I say:
I donít know what to do when I canít kiss you

you say:
you idiot
of course you can kiss me
kiss me now

and I do.

------
Everything begins with lucid indifference.
(Albert Camus)
