Come and put on your ball gown of shining white.
I've got my tux and tails on and everything's alright.

Our last dance here on earth is about to begin,
And very soon you will leave this world of sin.

So put your little hand in mine, my dear.
I will hold you close, so don't you fear.

The lights are going out now, one by one.
You'll soon be in the presence of the "Son".

He said He'll take all the pain away.
You can dance and sing each and every day.

All you have to do is to believe,
Then all His love and kindness you'll receive.

So will you please dance with me, my dear?
I have loved you more and more with every passing year.

Now the dance is through, and we both must go.
Don't be afraid, you know I love you so.

The Last Dance
I wrote this poem for my Mother - she was in kidney failure. It was an awful time. She was very brave.

Last Dance
How fortunate are those who can recall a special dance with a parent, I remember my kid brother, red hair and freckle faced, dancing with our mother, he was a charmer, but myself, the Proverbial 2 left feet. But Mama knew anyway, and I knew my Mama made it into Heaven with a whole new physical being, and she can still dance, oh how she can dance, I am certain yours can as well.
Nice poem.
