I put my heart on the line for you
That day when I said that I love you,
You promised to love me until the end
And so your heart to me you lent.

But I had given you mine to keep
And in return in hundreds you broke it,
Now here in the silent night I weep
Over the pieces that no longer fit.

I feel like such a fool tonight
Like I've been played but thats not right.
I thought a wall i would not see
I was right i only hit a tree.

Nonsense was all I was talking,
When the fruits came falling on my head,
I realized then the road I was walking
To my own destruction only lead.

I feel a burn inside my heart
Because our souls we tore apart
But I can see your just okay
Maybe in a coffin I should just lay

Is this real or is it pretend?
Stop the pain, make it end
But every wound will eventually heal
I hope you never feel what I feel.

Who Are We If We Cannot Imagine Peace?
