Come back to the moment
Where all are but meanings
And all the thoughts seeing
What we had to begin with.
What is the cause
For which we still fight?
Is there anything
That is truly right?

Iím not going to give in
Not going to fail,
But a dream,
But a dream
Only seems pale.

Where is the recognition
Of happiness sure?
Is there a moment,
For which this I endure?
Come now dear comrade,
Lend me your ear
Listen as I speak
And please do not fear.
I mean you no worry,
I mean not to scare,
I just wish you to tell me:
What is out there?

Iím stuck in this room,
Too tired to fight
And hoping that someone
Can save me from the night.
Itís come, and itís cold
And it tastes like its weak
Like all I have done since I was born
Has just peaked.

The times that weíve had
And the times still to come
Amount to so little;
Under the sun.

So what is the point?
Whatís the reason for being?
Iím not saying without this
That Iíll cease to keep seeing,
Yet I need to ask,
The sickness of kind,
The failure we all have
That both breaks and binds.

Without a rhythm
To keep us all close,
What do these moments mean
When weíre alone?

Does the night comfort you?
The day please you?
Does the time that you remember
Keep you warm in the cold?
What do we now
Know that we didnít?
Are we happier for thinking
Or sadder for knowing?

Please tell me now,
As the glass is half empty
And I am alone Ė
Who else is with me?

Remember my friend, despite all you are, all we are, the universe will tick on, long past our departure.
