I taste
I drink
From the pools of your eyes
Imbibing the essence of your soul
Till cravings contented, I lie in your arms,
Eyes closed, floating in tranquil delight
With you
Alone in the world
Where wispy clouds are warm
And the sun is never blinding

Where life flows from your fingertips
Into my pulsing veins,
And all I feel is
All I know
Is you
All I need,
Is you

Crescendo to crescendo, you lift me to mountain meadows
Scripting scores upon my flesh
Thrusting upward, your baton and open hand with metered force
Commanding violins to serenade our love.
We teach the gods!

We notice not the shadows moving
The hours across the walls,
For we’ve left our lofted chamber
To frolic in the fields of Olympus
Where hinds leap to the Maestro’s strokes

You pour your wine beneath my tongue
Nourishing my better self with your love
As flutes join ivories, percussion and lyre
We bask in the embers of now
And float
Alone in the world
Where wispy clouds are warm
And the sun is never blinding
