A story about the rich,
A story about the poor,
Those who have less,
Those who have more.

Some are the Goats,
Others the Sheep,
A few of them rejoice,
Many more will weep.

The South in its place,
With minerals beneath its land,
But the North was set,
And ready to take command.

Give us what you’ve got,
Or we will kill you now,
Hand over the spoils,
Or we will smite your brow.

The South was very poor,
Its people had been enslaved,
The North extremely cruel,
They had misbehaved.

The South was in a bind,
No weapons with which to fight,
Knowing not what to do,
They were full of fright.

Time tore on,
Taking its toll,
Man having ruined himself,
Losing his soul.

For a gram of gold,
One would take a life,
One quick jab,
With a bloody bladed knife.

The North moved South,
Machines ripping through the soil,
Trading rockets, bombs, and pipes,
For vast amounts of oil.

Oceans once clean,
Now polluted and dead,
Corral reefs but a shell,
Waters turning red.

People in the North,
Gorged themselves with food
Stomachs swollen,
Their bellies did protrude.

People in the South,
Were in dire straits,
While those in the North,
Lived in wealthy estates.

It wasn’t fair at all,
For some to be raising Cain,
While others in the South,
Were crying in aching pain.

Seemingly no way out,
Nothing made any sense,
No equity, no justice,
No rule nor recompense.

But out of nowhere,
A thunder from the sky,
A bolt of lightening,
From “on high.”

Everyone fell flat,
Prostrate on the ground,
Nothing was said,
Not even a sound.

Everyone was there,
Not knowing what would be,
Every nation of the world,
Bowing upon one knee.

Brighter than a thousand suns,
The Great Judgment…… it began,
I wondered what would happen,
This must have been God’s plan.

My beloved from the South,
Take a seat on my right,
You are my Sheep,
And will remain in my sight.

And inherit the kingdom,
I have prepared for each of you,
For when I was hungry you gave me meat,
When I was thirsty you gave me drink,
When I was a stranger, you took me in,
Naked and you clothed me,
When I was sick, you visited me,
In prison, you came to see me.
No, my Lord, we have done none of these things,
When did we see you hunger and give you food,
Or athirst and give you drink, or naked and clothe thee,
Or sick or in prison and come unto thee,
But the Lord (said to those of the South),
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least,
Of these my children ye have done it unto me.

And then the Lord turned (to those of the North),
And said take a seat on my left,
You are Goats,
And you have been accused of theft,
For having taken many things that did not belong to you!

And the Lord said,
Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire,
For when I hungered you did not feed me,
When I was thirsty you gave me no drink,
When I was a stranger you did not take me in,
Naked and you clothed me not,
Sick and in prison you did not visit me,
But Lord, we never saw you when you were hungry, a stranger,
Naked, sick, in prison, or athirst,
And the Lord responded to them by saying,
Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least,
Of these, ye did it not unto me.

So as you can see.

Those who’ve had,
The least,
Will be invited,
To the feast.

Those who’ve had the most,
Will be consumed,
And eaten as roast.

A very easy thing,
To understand,
Laying up treasures on Earth,
Has, as always, been “the undoing” of man.

Yet only those,
With eyes to see,
Those having chosen to live a decent life,
Will one day be with Thee!
