Hello my precious child
Warming up the room
With that baby smile
Skin smell so sweet
Like sugar cane
Watching how you grow
Into your name
Curiosity kicking in
And terrible twoís
But you can clearly say
I love you
And I love you too
You are my world
I never cared if
You were a boy or girl
Health was the words
To the Lord I pray
Just to be with you
Each and everyday
There will be times
When you make me mad
But angers not forever
And I hate when youíre sad
I make a vow to you
To always protect
To love you passionately
And never neglect
To teach you things
Important in life
To teach you all
Wrongs and rights
To love you even when
You make mistakes
Because I realize Sometimes
Thatís what It takes
To respect you
Never calling you out your name
Because if you are that
I am to blame
Youíre a part of me
My flesh my soul
Without you my heart
Has an empty hole
And some take for granted
These words I speak
Because they are worthless
And extremely weak
Selfish creatures that
Rome the earth
Never should have even
Given birth
I still dread the day
I lost one love in the rain
I look at her pictures
And feel the pain
Wishing she was here
But itís something I canít control
My God knows for her life
I would trade my soul
But heaven is better
Than the things they see
Crying out to God
About their destiny
If he took them back
To the Heaven floors
Thatís the end of the world
We would be no more

Everything I do, I do with passion. Come join me and see what I can do with words!

"Watching how you grow/Into your name"

a very different voice to that which I have read from you so far, but one I would like to hear more from. you distil well the affections and anxieties of any parent, and articulate the pain of loss in a language anyone could relate toÖ

a powerful emotional statement. thanks for sharing.

Nothing without you!
Well done. Poignant. I agree with Shannon...It's very different from your usual posts. Would like to hear more of this genre`.

None without
On the other side of ire and rage is vulnerability and heart. Thank you for showing your heart!
