It I knew the difference between
what is false and what is real
I would relate to the pain I can feel

If I felt that life was meant for me
To strive for the very best deal
I would relate to the pain I can feel

If I were sure that Id tried all I could
To get for myself all I could steal
I would relate to the pain I can feel

If I were living alone in poverty
as a woman of age without a meal
I would relate to the pain I can feel

If I were so selfish Id lost all my friends
and a sad loner unable to heal
I would relate to the pain I can feel

Not at all bad. I don't see any arrangement variations, but that's okay. Old traditional songs were often written in three, four or eight line stanzas without bridges or refrains. Next time - please- post under 'lyrics'. I missed this one and I wouldn't want to miss any Song Challenge pieces for my article in 'Majestic'. Thanks for joining in and offering such a fine piece.
Bless you
Ken
