There's a lady in the room
Displaying whips and chains
Dressed in leather
Back up against the red wall
Snake sliding up her thigh

There's a baby in the womb
Looking down at a snake
Through a hole in leather
Contemplating friend or foe

You and me?
Or, me or you?
Hands held in friendship
Or swords crossed in battle
The peaceful coexistence of snake-kind and baby-kind is at hand!
Or do the rivers of prejudice run thick with sludge and grim and dirt
Too much for you to handle
Too much to wade through
Enough to snap the oar of a small rowboat
Enough to muck up the water wheel of a large steamer
Filled to the brim with shark-tooth gamblers
Men and women looking for kicks

"What's it gonna be, Snake!?" Baby cried.

Mom was startled.

SWnake and baby
A dark ride - creepy cool. Slithery and visceral. Nice work!
