Come closer love, and whisper quietly,
I do not want to wake our lives;
Whisper fondly of your love,
Tell me how you want to dance
A dance to evade eventual death;
Strongest yearnings flow between us
But only when we are embraced;
I want to hold you but cannot,
For the bonds that hold us
Also break us-chains that
Bind yet always weaken;-
In your eye I see a space
of blankness,
But know that in that space
I want to live, to grow, and die,
For there, I am alone with you.
Won't you hold my hand a minute,
And share that space with me-
A thousand sunsets brighten then,
When we'll lock our lips eventually;-
For in that land of frigid solitude
Exist two beings as all life,
Then close to one and render unity.

Solace in the midst of an existential landscape. Fresh and lucid examination - terrific piece! Thanks
