Heath Care, Eugenics And The Angry Mob?
First Amendment: Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and Petition
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Thus it begins we the people have a newly elected President who deems his vision of the government and this country to be the correct one. He has propounded that his vision his oversight, his world view is the tranquil view of the anointed within this nation. He has traveled abroad and apologized for every conceivable ill-act—real or imagined that this country may or my not have ever been guilty of initiating within the history of a savage world.
He has introduced bills of unfathomable length that are currently being voted into law, all without being reviewed by any of the Congressional members. One may ask how is this possible! We stand at a crossroads between Liberty or Absolutism, whereby the average citizen exercises the basic freedoms granted by the Constitution of the United States or are we ruled by a Despot and his cronies!
Today we have seen the citizens of this great country exercising their full rights and privileges to gather and voice their dissenting opinions upon badly written and ill-advised bills that are currently being voted into law. They have no agenda, they come from all walks of life they simply have many questions concerning their government, federal spending, federal deficit, taxes and healthcare. They want to know and understand why their representatives are not listening to their constituency that elected them to high political office. These “Public Servants” believe themselves insolated and are so far removed from the citizenry that they cannot understand the people whom they serve. High Political Office does not mean you become the masters of the will of the people; it means you serve at the behest of the people for the public good—in other word you become a Public servant.
Today we have seen a sitting President call these people of dissenting opinions---American citizens an ANGRY MOB—a rabble! These patriotic men and women come from cross parties lines, from grass-roots America citizens all who are frightened of the Federal spending and the enormous deficits being generated by this administration are voicing their opinions loudly. These Americans haven’t taken up fire arms or bombs and torches of fire and they certainly have not stormed the Bastille. They simply desire that their public servants become more representative of their views and their wishes. The media--whores to the State are communicating to the public that these gatherings are being sponsored by right-wing extremists. This is not true it is false, however by being reported as such and if it is repeated long enough it will become accepted as the truth by the public. By identifying the people as AN ANGRY MOB a label is attached meaning they are not real and are therefore it removes the humanity of the people.
The Administration proponents know that one of the lessons from Saul Alinsky’s book known as “Rules For Radicals,” is to identify your enemy, then isolate them and ridicule them!” This Administration has fallen greatly naming hard-working law-abiding citizens who exercising their constitutionally protected rights to petition their government---AN ANGRY MOB! Is this will be the beginning of the end of our constitutionally protected freedoms! I say unto thee NAY! But we must make our voices heard no matter the consequences we all need to get out there and stand up for Freedom and Liberty. We need to support our American citizens who are protesting the dissolution of our great Republic. We now must stand at the rampart and shout out, “I’m mad as Hell and I’m not going to take it anymore—WE THE PEOPLE want our country back!”
And now a few words about Health Care. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel wrote an article for The Hastings Center Report in 1996. Something else that is not being mentioned about this healthcare bill is this according to Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, health care advisor to President Obama:
“This civic republican or deliberative democratic conception of the good provides both procedural and substantive insights for developing a just allocation of health care resources. Procedurally, it suggests the need for public forums to deliberate about which health services should be considered basic and should be socially guaranteed. Substantively, it suggests services that promote the continuation of the polity-those that ensure healthy future generations, ensure development of practical reasoning skills, and ensure full and active participation by citizens in public deliberations are to be socially guaranteed as basic. Conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia. A less obvious example Is is guaranteeing neuropsychological services to ensure children with learning disabilities can read and learn to reason.”
Dr. Emanuel and this Administration believes that neurological care would not be guaranteed as basic and would, therefore, will not be covered in a governmental takeover of healthcare! Also private healthcare companies will be eliminated and so for parents with disabled children there will be no options since they would have no coverage health care. This type policy will increase the abortion rate, which the radicals of this Administration want covered as a basic care. As a result doctors would urge parents to screen their unborn babies for any and all disorders and defects that would not be covered under basic care.
If a child's disorder is undetected by prenatal screening, what would be the next step especially when the disorder begins to manifest later after birth?
Dr. Emanuel's policies if adopted would lead to a further erosion of our nation's culture as the people would begin to gaze upon those with disabilities and the aged as objects that incur and increase collective health care costs instead of as human beings of a good and decent society--individuals who have certain inalienable rights endowed upon them by their creator!
Does all of this sound familiar----it should! It is the Eugenics program instituted in Germany in the 1930’s whereby the infirmed, the mentally disabled and the aged were ordered for extermination by the National Socialist party!
“Eugenics” describes a movement to improve human heredity by the social control of human breeding, based on the assumption that differences in human intelligence, character and temperament are largely due to differences in heredity (Paul, 2001). Francis Galton, statistical innovator and half-cousin of Charles Darwin, is regarded as the founder of modern eugenics. Eugenics’ “first object,” said Galton (1908, p. 323), “is to check the birth rate of the unfit instead of allowing them to come into being . . . the second object is the improvement of the race by furthering the productivity of the fit by early marriages and the healthful rearing of children.” In the United States especially, Progressive Era eugenics tended to be racist.
The most influential racial taxonomy of the day, The Races of Europe, was written by William Z. Ripley (1899), an economist trained at MIT and Columbia, who spent a long career at Harvard studying railroad economics and served, in 1933, as president of the American Economic Association (AEA).1 Race did not exhaust the variants of human hierarchy embraced by American eugenicists, whose catalogue of unfit persons often included women and the lower classes. Eugenicists were also gravely concerned with those they regarded as deficient in intellect—for example, epileptics, the mentally ill and the “feebleminded”—and those they regarded as deficient in character—“the criminals and the incorrigibly idle . . . [the] morally deficient . . . and [those] incapable of producing their maintenance at any application whatsoever” (Webb and Webb1920 , p. 785). During the Progressive Era, eugenic approaches to social and economic reform were popular, respectable and widespread.
We stand at another cross-road whereby we must prove to be good citizens of a divinely inspired Republic; or are we to become both petty and selfish in how we demonstrate our ability to care for the weakest members of our society. The National Socialist machine was trained in this type of thinking and notice they have all but disappeared from this earth. We must make our public servants hear our voices raised to the heavens over this possible atrocity from becoming manifest now or in the future.
However currently there is a "Enough of the Mob," advertisement that warns that the "right-wing extremist base" has returned after losing the presidential election, and a series of legislative battles and has lost the confidence of the American public.
"Now, desperate Republicans and their well-funded allies are organizing angry mobs -- just like they did during the election," the advertisement goes on to say, "Their goal? Destroy President Obama and stop the change Americans voted for overwhelmingly in November!"
The advertisement goes on to dismiss the citizenry protests as "MOB activity straight from the strategies of high-level Republican political operatives. They have no plan for moving our country forward, so they've called out the MOB!"
Texas Senator John Cornyn, is accusing the White House of compiling an "enemies list," has asked President Barack Obama to stop an effort to collect "Fishy" information Americans see about the so called healthcare bill. Senator John Cornyn, who leads the Republicans' Senate campaign effort, said Wednesday in a letter to President Obama that he's concerned that citizen engagement on the issue could be "chilled." He also expressed alarm that the White House could end up collecting electronic information on its critics.
Senator John Cornyn was responding to a post on the White House's blog Wednesday in which users are asked to help stop the spread of disinformation about legislation to overhaul health insurance. The post offers an e-mail address, email@example.com, for users to forward anything "On the web about health insurance reform that seems FISHY!" The White House said the posting was merely designed to fight "intentionally misleading" information in the health care debate. "We want to be sure people have the facts about health insurance reform that will lower costs, protect consumers from insurance regulations that deny them coverage and assure quality and affordable health care for all Americans," said Adam Abrams, a White House spokesman. He said no lists or sources of the information would be compiled. It would appear that enemies lists are being drawn up and perused to determined how best to crush the opposition.
Woodrow Wilson did this in 1917 when he enacted his famous Espionage Act of June 1917 and his Sedition Act of May 1918. He as President ordered the Justice Department to create the APL—American Protective League. This band of armed and badged (The badges had stenciled on them “Secret Service”) hoodlums that number in the thousands performed the job of watching their co-workers and neighbors, listening to their conversations and reporting back to local agencies.
This group was used as overzealous Private Eyes by special prosecutors all over the United States at that time. These goons were literally a “Secret Police” used to crack down on “Seditious Street Oratory” they routinely broke up citizen gatherings for free speech read their mail and their testimonies was used in thousands of case all over the country at that time. Their main job was to perform policing by “head-cracking” slackers all over the United States, at one point they rounded up 50,000 men suspected of avoiding conscription. However two-thirds of the cases were found to be false. In 1917 they had a membership that exceeded a quarter of million men in over 600 major cities throughout the US.
At this time the Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer (Another Progressive as well) with the blessing of President Wilson initiated what would later be known as “The Palmer Raids.” A series of unconstitutional governmental crackdowns upon so-called “subversive” individuals and groups discussing governmental taxation among other topics and war profiteering. Despite being unconstitutional they were immensely popular with---the middle class Democrats.
It is interesting to note here as well they later became the basis for The American Legion in 1919, and in the 1940’s FDR also used them in the same fashion during the war years. How history repeats itself at times.
This is an example of how our basic freedoms may erode and then fall if the average citizen does not become involved within its governing body. We the people of this Republic---this land are not a MOB nor are we a RABBLE! We are concerned citizens and all that we ask is to have fair representation and a voice in the affairs of our government and we have the right to FREE SPEECH! We have the right to have a DISSENTING OPINION! Our opinions are to be honored and upheld by the public servants of the land, and we are not to have them ridiculed and trampled like chattel.
You see what this Administration has conveniently forgotten is that the Government works for you and me—the citizens of this Nation—they the Public servants must answer to us since they work for us!
My greatest fear here is that this Administraton is attempting to work the crowds of honest hard-working people into a frenzy so that the citizenry will strike back with some form of violence. This will give this Administration the excuses then to reach out and strike down the citizens with an Iron Fist. Suspend the Writ of Habeas Corpus and return to initiating such heinous acts as were used in the Wilson years. Whereby the President maintains enemies lists and unleashes “Secret Police” to enforce with extreme physical methods an Iron Rule not upon foreign Terrorists who threaten the interests of this country, but its very own law-abiding citizens.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
