On that high cliff
The wind tickled my hair
Something scattered my despair
I looked around, and gazed a while

I could fly, I could actually try

But how, when the wind blows across my way
When my wings are broken
And the clouds are ready to slay

My feathers are falling
And I'm tired of calling

No one hears my sighs
Nor anyone cares for my prize

I would give my heart
But they demand more to add to their cart

They are not looking for laughter
It is my money they are after

But. . . I could still jump
I don't need my wings

Since they are charmed by
My jewelry, and my ruby rings

To err is human, To forgive is divine
