And so the rain falls at night
Watering the green growing things
The sun has set on this day

A worn green chair
A warm cup of tea
Letting time slowly drift away

What is done is done
What is undone can wait
Outside the trees gently sway

Quiet drumming on rooftop
A candle's cheery light
Things can be as they may

As the rain falls at night
Sleep comes, easily
Watching shadows play

The rain
Peace full and right! Thank God for such moments. Another good one!

Here comes the rain!
What a restful poem...soft and lyrical.

I can hear the rain tapping on my window pain...but as for lulling me to sleep...would that it did...soft classical music is the only thing that does that for me!

Really nice job!
