A jaguar! A fine machine!
Born of British Engineering
from the innovative minds in the United Kingdom
Though your engine is Ford now
We know the Union Jack still flies in your heart.

A jaguar! The very name sings
of overprices luxury!
Are your leather seats, chrome bumpers
and namesake hood ornament
really worth the cost?

A jaguar! Transporting members
of an elite caste to exclusive
members-only country clubs

Over here.

An ordinary Jaguar?
My dream car: An emerald-green Jaguar S-Type. No elite castes for me, though; I will drive it among the people, the mob, the crowd, the mass (as Carl Sandburg would put it).

I enjoyed your poem; you should write more satire.

Thanks ArsPoet

Glad you enjoyed the poem. Admittedly, I felt awkward about writing it because I usually don't write satire...I'm usually too concerned with becoming cynical or cruelly mocking.
