Greetings everyone,

Lit.Org's host had to move our server and we had no notice that this was going to happen. During the process there were a couple of hiccups.

1. A DNS setting was incorrectly configured and is now resolved. Users are again able to see the site.

2. A setting from the old server did not carry over to the new server and while the site was visible, no content could be viewed and members could not log in.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their patience while we worked with the host to get these issues resolved. Everything should be working normally again but please report any errors!

Now get back to writing!

Oh. My. God

You're incredible. I have been sitting on pins and needles all day yesterday and all night tonight. I've been crazy.

When you are ready to publish your book, hit me up for help! It's a jungle out there, and I'll do as much to help you get published as you do for all of us here at litdotorg.

I love you, man!

Bravo Chrispi & Ochani!
Thanks to both of you for your heroic efforts! Had learned via other channels what the problem was after trying to get on without success for the last couple of days. Appreciated the e-mail notice - I guess you sent it out to ALL members, even long-inactive ones, because my Tweety, TomTerrific, mentioned it to me a few minutes ago, and he hasn't posted anything for a few years now!

Gee, in honor of the site's "reincarnation" (or was it just waking from a coma?) I may actually post some writing soon! Sitting home today after begging off work (We're in the middle of a nasty winter storm here in SW Ohio, and my poor, relegated-to-outside-parking car is thoroughly encased in ice!) - what better way to use some unanticipated time off than to write? :)

Thanks again, you guys! Techno-geeks rule! :D

I had abruptly discovered the terrible nature of my functional addiction to this site. I stared at the white screen with characters and symbols warning me - telling me - that the site wasn't up - technical difficulties or server problems. I sat at my desk and began to sweat, my breathing bacame shallow. My wife asked if I was all right and I lied and said there was just some small problem and I was sure Chrispian would have it back up soon. The rug in my office was worn a bit more for the pacing - but you guys hold no blame there - I pace when I am thinking as to where a plot line should go. Was that it? Where they creating a spendid drama? Was it Jonpenny in the office? Lena in the library? Poeteye in the Lab?
No! No! I was begining to hallucinate. Then a friend called - one who loves the site and as yet not willing to post his work - and in a shacky voice asked if I knew what was happening. I could barely croak out an answer. We did our best to calm each other and promised to call every hour on the hour until the crisis resolved itself. So it was through the long dark night, alone as all writers must eventually be, and thinking disjointed and disturbing thoughts of Hemmingway's manhood, Poe's addiction, Garrison Keillor's Lake Woebegon, and Oprah's weight probem. But the dawn came and once more a climbed out of my curled position on the floor, typed in and behold the familiar yellow ,blue , and gray assailed my red rimmed and weeping eyes. The call came seconds later from my relieved friend. We both laughed and felt a little foolish for our behavior. I asked him if he was going to post? he said not yet but soon! (Denial is such a part of addiction.) I, in complete control, except for a typo or two, wrote this.
Thanks guys!

@ jonpenny
To be honest, I know how you feel. I was awake with the sick website all night. I called Lena in desperation this morning.

I even just woke up to make sure it was still here.

We are all addicts, all of us. And, I'm more than happy to be the "dealer".

Long live lit!

Have your friend post an introduction! There is no need to hide in shadows around these parts.
