Sweep says the broom
As I walk from the door –
We need not anyone
To help clean the floor
Wipe away mess
Clean away grime
Take away sorrow
Leave nothing behind.

Smile says the sun
Warming my back –
Together we’ll take
Any stick or flack,
Time is our plaything
Forever a flower
Open up with me
Inside an hour.

Flee says the pavement
As I run away –
Move quick and be slick
Or the price you’ll pay,
Never should wonder
Cloud up your eyes
Or else your moments
Bleed with surprise.

Sleep says the moon
As I lay down my head –
For tomorrow is coming
And this day is dead,
Worry not whisper
For I am still here
Amongst the darkness
My friend, never fear.

------
Remember my friend, despite all you are, all we are, the universe will tick on, long past our departure.
