This is my ORIGINAL video review I created for another class assignment of the book by Sogyal Rinpoche called: The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. A really cool book. Hope you like it.

@ Josh
"Be the change you want to see in the world."

I like that quote!

This was an interesting way to review a book, and I have no idea how to critique it or make it better! I am amazed that you put this together the way you did. I have no idea how to do such things.

I think I'm going to have to read this book!

Josh, I LOVE this Book VIDEO Review & I LOVE you;-)
Josh,

I think you did a wonderful job of this, and I want you to know how proud I am of you, my dear son, you are talented, bright, and creative. You are reading books that many beyond your high school level cannot yet comprehend as well as you have done here. You took the this book and you "Got it" perfectly. I recommended this book to Lucie from Lit.Org, and she got it perfectly too, but she is much older and has lived a full life compared to you, so again, I am so proud of you and this video...

I know your teacher will love this, like she tells me, and your other teachers tell me, you are an incredible person, a good student, an honor student, student of the month, so many accomplishments in this physical world and you say to me they mean nothing, the physical means nothing yet you strive on...you are a sergeant in CAP cadet program, you are close to getting your black belt in martial arts, you have a well planned out future, but you say again, it means nothing for your ultimate plan is to use the physical to reach the spiritual, to become a Tibetan monk...and that is what brings me to tears, to know you are so far beyond what I will ever be in this life, you my son, are more than just my son, and that is why I am not surprised that others far wiser than me, recognize that in you as well....

With ALL love,
your mom;-)

@ Lena
May I make a subjective observation?

Those who are truly spiritual and in tune with their spiritual selves, no matter the religion practiced, often have accomplishments light-years beyond those of their peers. They do it simply and effortlessly.

The physical is a reflection of the spiritual, and although not a requirement for spiritual insight and evolution, often those with a healthy spiritual life share the reflection of a healthy physical life. It's not a rule, but it happens often.

You should be proud of Josh! I told you when you were pregnant with him that he would do fantastic things with his life if you nurtured him.

You nurtured him well!

wow!
I love the images you chose, they're so beautiful and fit the song really well. Of course, whenever I see images of His Holiness, I smile. :) I've never read the book, but I feel like your video gave me a good idea as to what it's about and how it would make me feel, as a reader.

Thanks for looking and commenting.
I'm in high school. This video was made to portray Tibetan Buddhism in the most neutral non threatening and non controversial way possible. As this video was a class project made for highschool students. I had to keep it simple and easy to understand what the book was about in the most easy way that high school minds could interpret it without losing their attention.

Thanks.

Neutral & NON-Controversial?
Non-Controversial, Most Neutral? That's my smart son, learn from your mother's mistakes;-)
