Come myself
Toward open doors
Come myself
Twelve-fold
And more

Does god purchase us
Like a wall-street bailout
Units of soul
A monetary thing?

A thousand of these
For a single of me
A thousand of me
For one of these…

Life has its price
Where infinities mimic
Shallow bounds…

Where infinities mimic / Shallow bounds
found a slow grin spreading at this. seems wry, to me, kind of tongue in cheek, the comparison between God and Wall-street only serving to highlight the difference between the finite- where everything is quantified, and the infinite- where nothing is quantified...

if infinities are mimicking "Shallow bounds" then they do so in jest, I reckon. a cosmic Joke, man so long concerned with imposing his image on the infinite, finds the infinite imitating him... sort of like a wind-up-merchant’s version of the abyss gazing back ;) …

that said, I really like Des interpretation, especially the “It's what we do between transactions that matters” bit… I too hope you’re back with us, Muse and all. best to ye.

Svengali thoughts Ghostpoisensturgeon....
Ah...this has multiple meanings and interpretations to me as well...I can go off on a whole long highschool stoner talk on "hey, man, what if G-d is really like a puppet master and we are like chess pieces, dude? ya know?" or say, "What if G-d is like us playing a video game and we are like the Sims, dude?" Yeah, or even worse, what if G-d is some sort of cannibal that feeds off of us or vampire like or something, dude?"....

Like Shannon, this made me smile, I get it. I see the possibilities here of what you are saying or perhaps proposing? I also can get into the whole again, my favorite subject of M-theory where even the Svengalis are Svegalied by higher Svengalis, etc., and whole other realm of hierarchy and Pantheon of powers and possibilities.

Good job this one, like your work because you question a lot. I like your question takes and thoughts and perspectives, thanks for sharing this one. Stimulated thinking and conjecture very well indeed.

Namaste.

thanks
for taking the time to read this, although i must confess i don't think my muse has returned quite yet- this was just a short, unplanned burst of words that came almost immediately. why i wrote it, i don't know, and your guess is as good as mine to what it means. i have been pondering the concept of reincarnation alot lately though; not so much the reincarnation of a single being/ creature into another single being/creature, but more-so as if a supreme being is acting as an infinite 'bank' of life energy (or 'soul' depending on your definition), to be redistributed back into the universe in various degrees to different creatures, thus resulting in a higher degree of awareness to those beings/creatures who have been given more of this energy. like more 'units of soul' (for lack of a better term)= more awareness... like lena i have speculated on the existence of beings higher than ourselves, maybe even extra-dimensional, perhaps with a thousand times my awareness of this 'place' (a thousand of me for one of these), as if they cost that much more in life energy

when the supreme being (god) dishes out this energy from an infinite supply, in order to dish out any set amount it must be done mimicing the shallow bounds of the finite; there must be limits in order for anything to differntiate itself from god, otherwise, there wouldn;'t be anything but (and in a sense, there still isn't)

on the scale of infinity there is no difference between the highest 'living' being and a bacterium, unless that being is infinite-which would make it god in the first place and therefore not a seperate entity

its like, death is a deposit, and then taxes our paid back our way to create life, only to be deposited back again, and so on

inherently, i think stoner talk is the closest interpretation of this, which could already be a religion- i dont know... but on a scale of infinity, which i believe we are dealing with at the roots, i would say all religion, science (even the illustrious M theory), all philosophy, and all drug induced babbling are equally stoner talk, as well as equally valid... this seems to again boil down to a matter of perspective

on a more noticable, 'realistic', every day perspective, i really like the interpretation of des... which is probably something like i would see if this was someone else's poem i was reading. also liked your viewpoint on this, shannon, there was definitely supposed to be a finite/ infinite comparison going on here. in the realms of the abstract or spiritual lena's explanation fits well too...

well, enough of this rambling, it probably makes no sense anyway... never been good at getting ideas out of my head in a sensible way... thats why i like poetry, it doesnt have to make sense...
