There is no luck, no chance,
no charm or call so clear
as destiny in the end.
And on it I ride without bridle
or guide away out of sight,
my friend.
A path is laid before light of stars
stair-stepping its way north
out of here.
Let it carry you along,
a float trip,
a song.
I've sung it, there is nothing
left so much to fear.
Whether you go first
or I,
it really doesn't matter
when we touch down,
what was lost is found
there in the gathering laughter.

It reminds my of a homecoming of sorts, one that has been planned for some time. I often felt some of this when in the military and separated from family for long periods.

The opening line,
"There is no luck, no chance,
no charm or call so clear
as destiny in the end."

Makes perfect sense because in retrospect destiny always makes perfect sense, but then the feeling of destiny quickly evaporates once you've reached it -- there is always another destiny to behold.
