Iíve never read in poetry
Where to be physically,
Instructions to read rhythmically
And have this poem read to me.

Sit comfortably in a chair
Or on the floor, stretching out.
Speak softly, gently, clear to hear,
Calmly let these words speak out.
Breathe in, breathe out,
Again breathe in and now breathe out.
Your breath will raise and lower your chest,
Relax, relax, relax, the rest.
Close your eyes and listen deep,
Think of this before you sleep.
Colours now are all you see,
Are you a form of energy?
Are you within this human form
And when were you truly born?
You cannot feel from inside
Your skin, a form of boundary,
Are you in the air around me,
Moving in a timeless tide?

Donít try to concentrate
Or from your knowledge cross relate,
Are you big or are you small,
Are you more than a mile tall?
Just imagine, donít move a limb,
That you are really, really thin.
Now, just like that
Youíre huge and fat.
Are you sure youíre still within
Or are you in some other place?
All around are only colours,
Light and warmth soothes your face.
You hear the words that come from others,
But are you now far out in space?
Whoís to say youíre in this room
And your life began in a womb.
Only in this relaxed condition
You feel no weight or aged progress,
You move around effortless.
But when you become locked within
Things become a chore.
Just lift your foot from off the floor.
This body that youíre living in
Is of this earth, not more.

Howard Marshall
I have found this poem as well as your Silly Magician poem to be quite unique in form and presentation, and attitude, light hearted, yet irreverently profound in your message.

Namaste,
