Locked in the labyrinth

I alone must face,
Darkness envelops me as I stumble.
The maze closes in,
Little by little,
And feel trapped I do.
Frantically searching for an exit,
I feel the minotaur's rancid breath
On my flesh.
Flesh that would dissolve to ash
At the merest escalation of entrapment.
I pray for fire, rain,
Anything to let me escape from the grasp
Of the omniscient maze.
My every move watched, noted;
Saved for a future confrontation.
This bull who stalks me
Will see another day, it seems.
While I wither away,
