Somebody simply said
Silver is a dream, my dear
Your elephants and cockroaches
They are the ones we fear.

The ones in lace and rose
With glimmering smiles
And canny wiles
Those are the ones we fear.

They sit in gaudy splendor
Gold and jewels covering
Filth, hate and the rot of death
They are the ones we fear.

Like Hansel and Gretel’s witch
Covering her greedy hunger with
Children’s sugar delights
They are the ones we fear.

With a dazzling smile
They stun who they want.
Charles Manson and his house of blood
These are the ones we fear.

Fear the young one,
The old one
The one too sick to walk.
Shun the smiling one,
The trusting one,
The one who likes to talk.

They’ll grab your heart
And rip it by the roots
Leaving you screaming apart,
Their laughter in your ears.

Listen close, little ones for
They're sitting all in their fairy lairs
But they’ll grab your soul and twist it
Turn your thoughts as dark as theirs.

------
Don't take life too seriously; you'll never get out of it alive. ~Elbert Hubbard.
