Sometime ago, not long in fact, I became Nothing.

Despised, unwanted, rejected by those who were once believers.
Yet even in that state I was still Lord and King.
Now life's crusaders have stripped me of my last robes of dignity.
Instead, my thorny crown binds my hands behind me.
All around I see injustice and deceit, liars, fraudsters and fools, lethargy and sloth.
With smiling faces veiled by theocracy,
outstretched arms clothed in robes of false humility demand every last drop of precious blood.
Frustrated, helpless, by my station forced into silence, I accept circumstance.
Albeit with resentment and terror, fearful of my imminent rage.
I spit on life! I clear my sinuses and spit again!!
