The property-
less; history's
concrete Christ,
collectively hanged upon the cross
of self-expansion. And like Christ,
they too, will one day be
greater than their oppressors.

No one is really without property, are they? We all have our thoughts to hold dear and no one will ever separate us from them. They are my most valued possesion.

Your poem made me think of early (white) Americans who claimed heading west was manifest destiny. Never once mentioned greed as their motives.

Wow, Colin, you've been busy lately. Think I need to sip from your well 'cos I haven't written a single line in days.

Nice job! The nature of enlightenment is that either you are very lonely or hunted down and killed. Whenever God decides we are doing it the wrong way he picks someone to know and tell the truth. I will always pray but really wonder if I want God to talk to me. Most prophets are reluctant and for good reason.

Thanks Ken
Thanks Ken. And the perspective you bring to the poem is most interesting.
