She was my girl from yesterday,
I met her in high school.
She drove fast cars and had long, blond hair
And she didn't mind
Breaking all the rules.

I was with her
All day and night,
I kissed hard and
Held her tight.
We would go to the beach
And if I wanted her
She was always within
My reach, I wouldn't be denied.
And if I was hurting she would
Make me smile and hurl all my demons away.

But, as time went on,
So did we.
In her later years,
Little of her did I see,
Now she is gone and only memories of her remain.
But, they are sweet and they make me smile,
With her now, I wish I had a child.
Still her life goes on within my heart,
We are never far of apart.

But, what can I do?
What can I say?
Only that, on every warm and sunny day,
I feel like I am still with
My girl from yesterday.

Three F's
Hi

Very sweet

But have you forgotten about the three F's taught long before the three R's

A bird in the Bush is worth two with your hand

One could drive oneself insane with inane thoughts that every experience in life was a lost chance

Remember if you had of given her that child you could still be paying now with no guarantee she would have stayed with you… she practiced birth control of course…that is commonly called safe sex these days. A very good way of protecting your wallet

Another feather for your cap I say … and you had this wonderful chance to tell us all about your love life……

Far better than at least one of my own experiences Wine-ing Dinning pleasing a member of the opposite sex for a mere kiss…. only to find later she was the village bike…. narrow escape.

Of course as one gets very old it becomes hard….. to remember what you were expecting to find upstairs.
