Whether we are someone’s friend, coworker, lover, spouse or relative, there is one quality that is always being put to the test, even if we are not aware it is being tested. That quality is loyalty.

When someone betrays us, the relationship with that individual might change too. Especially if you are one who holds loyalty in high esteem. And so far in this 2008 presidential elections year, when Superdelagates or supporters of Senator Hillary Clinton leave her side and decide to turn to supporting Senator Barack Obama, one might wonder if being loyal is not as meaningful as it once was.

And even though the ones who have turned to supporting Senator Obama may have admitted to doing so because he is the one with the higher momentum, a determined Senator Clinton still pushes on with her run for the White House.

Either every or every other day it is not uncommon to turn to the national news only to hear that a Superdelegate who once supported Senator Hillary Clinton has switched to lending his/her support to Senator Obama.

At least by the time it is all over, and no matter who ends up being the Democratic Nominee, one thing Senator Clinton will have realised is who her true friends really are, especially at a time when she may have needed their support the most.

As for being loyal? If you have a friend or relative who has been loyal to you, consider yourself to have a treasure. Especially at a time when some people are boldly displaying their sense of disloyalty everyday or every other day as if it means nothing.
