Exhaustion
by Tammy Hendrix

My brain is hurting.
My thoughts are dead.
My mouth is speechless.
My lips are frozen.

My eyes are blind.
My sight is cloudy.
My view is distorted.
My visions are hopeless.

My hands are sore.
My fingers are numb.
My grasp is weak.
My touch is cold.

My feet are swollen.
My footprints are smeared.
My stand is fragile.
My direction is nowhere.

My heart is weary.
My love is fruitless.
My soul mate is pain.
My pulse is dying.

My faith...in you is...indestructable.

Carry me now, my friend. I am too broken to hope. Fix me.
