I Know You
by Tammy Hendrix

I know you.
You've been here before
Never leaving me alone at times like this.
Undeniable, the shaking that consumes me.
Your touch is the cause of my lack of restraint.

Your strong, powerful hands
Release my hair with an erotic gentleness.
It falls upon my back.

Your hands stroke my cheeks as you pass them by
To gather within your grasp enough hair to pull back.
My neck is your destination.
Kiss me my love.
Your lips roam my heating flesh.

I can feel your breath
Light, sensuous, captivating.
The warmth upon my neck
Broken only by kisses and
Fiery images of requested fantasies
Spoken lovingly in my ear

I know you
You've guided me before
Bringing me to stand before you.
You sit on the side of the bed.
Eyes that penetrate my very soul
As you lift my arms above me.
My dress is no longer a barrier
Separating your touch from my skin.

Anticipation races my pulse.
The trumpeting beat of my heart
The shaking of every inch of me
All confirmations of that which you build up within.

I know you.
Your strength excites me
As you wrap your arms around me
Placing my body in the middle of our bed.
Your exploratory territory.

Your lips travel me.
Stillness is an impossibility.
You move me
Therefore I must move.
Slowly your journey guides you
To lay between the archways of my womanhood.
You gently open me.
Your presence lays witness to what I cannot deny.
I pour for you.

My pleasures from your brilliant talents
Are confirmed by my explosive screams.
I am not ashamed

Scale me my love.
Oh my goodness
Now this I dream of.
My hands that glide over your back
Your profoundly erect, masculine back.
They want to dig into you.
Powerful passion filled kisses
Upon my lips that dare not turn away.

You hover over me
Just barely close enough.
Your chest strokes me.
Tips of me excited, hungry.
They beg for attention.

You draw me in.
The rise and fall of my breasts.
Erratic breaths I release.
Your mouth, your tongue
Tracing their shape
Tracing their borders of different colors.

Now breath to breath
I have no doubt to claim.
Your lavishing of my needs
Tells me all that is necessary.
Within me there's nothing
That cannot be accomplished by you.
Only by you.

I know you
You have entered into me before.
Lovely the warmth of you inside me.
Existing in this room, you and I.
There be no other presence within the universe.
Only the extraordinary filling
Of what was once empty, lonely and longing.

Present is every possible emotion.
All awakened and gathered forth
By the commands of you

I want to cry.
So insignificant, so small I am.
Unrestrained tears fall
With the grandeur of release.

No more is my existence small.
You give to me again and again
The gift of ultimate vulnerability.
The vehicle by which I become
The earthquake that quivers
All the universe.

I know you
You are within me always.
You tell me to open my eyes.
Looking straight through me
You are aware of my satisfaction.
You are aware of my love for you.

Always I have loved you.
My choices in life have led me in one direction only
Straight to you.
Spoken to me, these beautiful words.
I cry.

Oh...my one and only true love.
Time and time again
I have laid with you.
Anything, everything, I would give you.
If only......

I know you.
Your smell
Your taste
Your touch
Your body inside mine

I know all of you.
I know everything about you
As I lay here in tears that flow streams down my face.
As I lay here drowning in satisfaction
Again made content by exhausting efforts.

I know you so well...
If only I knew who you are...

(Come to me my love. I have awaited you all of my days)

Ummm...noticed your word count? Just curious.

Found the juxtaposition of physical and spiritual love interesting. Reads like a dream sequence in a movie.

Nicely done, Tams.

...Need a cold shower now.

...I pour for you...
The one you used to head your comment and this one that follows are my favorite lines. Very...ummm!

Yea...I had to take a couple of...."breaks" myself
while writing this one...Funny!

Been dreaming of this man for many, many years. Don't know him yet. But....one day...maybe? Believe me I'll know the moment he touches me who that's it him.

I thought....
you already met him from the way this poem read. I was also drawn in by the word count, thinking this was going to be something different, but as I read on, I felt like I was read a love poem for all the ages. Great work, it reminds of some of the more erotic 18th century women writers I've read. There's one poem in particular....God I can't think of the author, but I can recall all of us in the classroom blushing.
